TheGeoinformaticsconferenceserieswasinitiatedbytheInternationalAssociationofChineseProfessionalsinGeographicInformationSciences(CPGIS)in1992.Thisannualinternationalconferencehasprovidedauniqueforumforexchangingideasandknowledgeongeo-informationsciencesbetweenGISprofessionalsworldwide.The19thInternationalConferenceonGeoinformatics(Geoinformatics2011)willbeheldonJune24-26,2010atShanghai,China.Theconferenceisco-organizedbyEastChinaNormalUniversity,EastChinaUniversityofScienceandTechnology,andtheInternationalAssociationofChineseProfessionalsinGeographicInformationSciences(CPGIS),andco-sponsoredbyShanghaiUrbanDevelopmentInformationResearchCenter.KeyLabofGeographicalInformationScience,MinistryofEducation,isthelocalorganizeroftheconference.
Theconferencethemeis“GISinEducationandBusiness”Itwillprovideanunprecedentedopportunityforprofessionalsandstudentsfromremotesensing,Geoinformationscience,andrelateddisciplinestodiscovercutting-edgegeoinformaticstechnologyandapplications,whileatthesametimeexchangingtheirideas,researchresults,professionalexperiences,andfuturevisionsinthefieldsofgeographicinformationscience,remotesensing,andtheirapplications.
Theconferencewillincludeplenary,special,oral,andpostersessions.Pleaseconsidersubmittingyourabstractsandpaperstothesessionsmostsuitableforexchangingyourideasandresearchwithsimilarresearchers.
TheOrganizationCommitteewouldliketoinviteallinterestedpartiestoproposespecialsessionsforGeoinformatics2011.SpecialsessionChairscanproposefullsessions(10papers)orhalfsessions(5papers).TheSessionchairsareresponsibleforinvitingthepapersandensuringthesepapersaresubmittedviathenormalconferencerefereeprocess.IfaSpecialSessionlacksenoughpaperstocompletethetimeallotment,additionalpaperscanbeselectedfromthegeneralpapersubmissions.
